Nash Media Group is an Australian digital marketing agency working with small to medium businesses across Queensland. We are looking for a highly capable and detail-oriented Web Designer to assist with WordPress website builds, website optimisation, SEO implementation, ongoing website maintenance and client support tasks for Australian businesses.
This role suits someone who thrives in a structured agency environment, communicates proactively, and takes pride in delivering accurate, high-quality work with minimal follow-up required.
About the Role
You will be responsible for managing website-related tasks from start to finish – including WordPress website updates and builds, frontend refinements, SEO implementation, website optimisation, and recurring support tasks for Australian clients.
The role requires someone who is confident working independently, highly organised, and able to follow established systems and processes accurately. You will be trusted to manage allocated tasks efficiently, communicate clearly throughout projects, and deliver work that is production-ready for review.
You’ll primarily be working within WordPress using Elementor, alongside SEO-focused website improvements including heading structures, metadata, internal linking, image optimisation, and ongoing website maintenance.
As part of a fast-paced agency environment, you must also be comfortable adapting to shifting priorities and assisting with urgent website troubleshooting when required, including identifying and resolving WordPress or frontend-related issues efficiently.
For the right candidate, this role has the potential to evolve into a senior coordination role involving project oversight, workflow management and assisting in leading a growing team of designers and support staff.
Key Responsibilities
Web & WordPress
- Update and manage WordPress websites (Elementor experience required)
- Perform plugin and core updates and test sites for issues
- Build and edit pages efficiently
- Ensure website changes do not break layout, forms, or functionality
SEO & Website Optimisation
- Create and optimise service and location pages
- Write and update meta titles and descriptions
- Apply correct heading structures (H1–H5)
- Internal linking and image optimisation
- Submit updated pages via Google Search Console
Task Management & Reporting
- Book all tasks into your calendar accurately
- Ensure your calendar reflects actual work blocks
- Provide same-day access to completed work and review links/files
- Record time accurately in Xero against the correct project
What We’re Looking For
You’ll be a strong fit if you:
- Have experience as a Digital Marketing, Web Designer or Agency VA
- Strong WordPress experience required (Elementor experience highly preferred)
- Understand basic SEO fundamentals and how to apply them
- Can manage priorities independently and meet deadlines consistently
- Follow instructions exactly as provided
- Communicate clearly and proactively
- Are comfortable working Brisbane business hours 9AM-6PM (negotiable for the right candidate)
